ESRI-MUG 2012 Annual Conference

It’s not too early to start thinking about exhibiting or presenting at this fall’s Esri­MUG 2012 Conference!  Your conference planning committee is already hard at work planning another successful Esri-MUG conference. Details so far:

As always, the conference will feature Esri taught workshops, keynote speakers, vendor exhibits, poster displays, user presentations, and Esri technical sessions. 

ESRI-MUG Spring Meeting

Our spring meeting will be held May 17, 2012 from 9:00am-12pm.  It will include presentations by Matt Martini, Esri, on Creating and Sharing Geospatial Data on the Web and Turning Geospatial Data into Maps and Apps, as well as a user presentation by Sandi Stroud.  Following the meeting we’ll adjourn to a local eatery where we hope the discussions will continue.

Loudoun GIS Forum

Central Maryland ESRI User Group

The Central Maryland ESRI User group is planning a one-day meeting 9:00 am – noon, May 11, 2012 at Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD.  Featured will be Barney Krucoff, Maryland state Geographic Information Officer, who will speak about the state’s plans for leveraging the cloud in support of its GIS efforts.  In addition, Esri staff will demonstrate the use of ArcGIS for mapping indoor environments and Christopher Watson will speak about how the Maryland Air National Guard is using GIS to support disaster management and the continuity of business.  For more information, visit http://esricmug.blogspot.com.

 

Western Maryland GIS User Group Meeting

The Western Maryland GIS User Group is planning a one-day meeting 9:00 am – noon, May 18, 2012 in Frederick, MD.  The meeting will have a LiDAR focus and will feature presentations about the Western Maryland LiDAR acquisition project by Josh Novac of Dewberry, using GeoPDF in a GIS workflow by Nathan Roberson of TerraGo, and the ArcGIS 10.1 LiDAR toolsets by Brad Songer of Esri.

Esri Parcel Tools Seminar

Esri is hosting a full-day hands-on free seminar on the ArcGIS parcel tools and the parcel fabric on May 21 in Harrisburg, PA.
